I started this weight loss journey six months ago after realizing everything I do on a daily basis was getting harder and harder to do, from putting on my socks to walking my dog. Now after losing over 100 pounds, everything I do is easier. I was on three blood pressure medications and one heartburn medication, which I no longer need. I was also able to stop my sleep apnea therapy. I couldn’t walk 10 feet without taking a rest. ... Now I exercise and walk three to five miles each day with no problems. My biggest supporter is my wife who hikes and walks with me and also is losing weight too. The staff at Transition Medical Weight Loss is incredible and always available for you when you need them.

Take the jump! We all know it's so hard to stay the course when you aren't seeing results. This program helped me lose enough weight that I'm confident I won't "go back." In addition to weight loss, I also greatly improved my triglycerides (from 540 to 129), sleep, and mood. And I no longer need to take medication for heartburn. The price almost prevented me from starting. It is definitely an investment, but if you calculate what you pay for all 3 meals, snacks, going out to eat, ... ordering out for lunch, getting coffee in the morning… the program is probably cheaper; it's just paid at once. Plus, they give you tips and tricks to be successful after the program. The support and accountability of going in and weighing in every week was absolutely HUGE for my success. 150% worth the money! I am sitting here today reflecting on my 12 week journey. My story is like so many others. A middle aged man, overweight, tired, defeated. I tried other programs and had minimal success. blood work put me in the obese range; a prediabetic 53 year old. The results were tough for me to see, hear, and accept. I decided it was time. I signed up for the 3 month plan to get myself in a better place. There is no price tag you can put on this program. Yes, the amount is a lot, but I needed to put into perspective that this decision was not only for me, but for my family. Today, June 15, 2022 is my last day of that 3 month trek. I have lost 45 pounds, am able to sleep without my CPAP machine, have more energy, and I am in a good state of mind. Transition Weight Loss Medical has been the answer to my weight loss dreams! I am delighted with the results that I have achieved. I have had success with other weight loss programs, but never this much loss and for the amount of time I have kept it off. I’ve seen my body fat drop as well as dropped 5 pant sizes for a total of 46 pounds. My energy levels have increased dramatically. I was having trouble with my blood pressure and trouble sleeping. My blood pressure was running high, 150/94 on most days which was leaving me no choice but to go on medication to manage it. I was surprised at my evaluation numbers; my weight was higher than it has ever been 193lbs, with my body fat over 28% but I still thought I could manage losing weight on my own. Needless to say, a few months later I decided that I needed help and went back to Transition Medical Weight Loss. I was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes 16 years ago at the age of 44 and watched my mother slower deteriorate with this disease needing dialysis twice weekly toward the end of her life. I always worried that if I couldn’t get my Diabetes under control that my life would turn out ... the same way. With that being said my A1C went from 8.6 in August, 2021 to 5.4 just last week, December 3, 2021. I have lost more weight than I ever have been able to lose on my own and I am now walking on the treadmill at a incline of 12 at 4.0 speed. Not bad for a 60-year-old grandmother!! The program could not be easier so if you have thought about doing this program, don’t hesitate…do it now for yourself and enjoy the results like I have. “I have long commutes to work in the car and I would continuously hear the ads on WZID 95.7FM for Transition Medical Weight Loss Center. My curiosity got the better of me, so I bit the bullet and scheduled a consultation. I saw the scale hit over 200 pounds with my first weigh-in, and I began to seriously have doubts. Then I had my initial meeting with Cheryl. She made me feel welcome and comfortable. I still had my doubts as I had tried other weight loss programs before with minimal success,

but this time felt different. Somewhere behind all the doubt and skepticism was a burning desire to accept the challenge that awaited me.
The support, appreciation and success that the program offered outweighed all further doubts I had after that initial meeting. I went into the program with no ultimate goal in mind. I just wanted to prove to myself that I could do it. I started with a 12-week program, convinced that I would see no real change. I lost 38 pounds. As summer approached, I continued with another 8 week program so that I could stay on track with all the BBQs, parties and restaurant dining. In 20 weeks I have lost a total of 50 pounds. When the facemask came off, coworkers noticed my face thinning. Then I couldn’t fit into my “”regular”” summer clothing. Shopping for a bathing suit in a smaller size was a victory for me! I had more energy, I was sleeping better and I was able to climb a flight of stairs without getting winded. My blood sugar level is back in normal range and I couldn’t be happier.
I now enter the maintenance stage excited and confident. I no longer see this as a challenge but a lifestyle change that is easy to grasp. I completed the 12 week program, and am in the first week of my transition plan. At the beginning, 12 weeks felt like a long road ahead…but now it seems like it went so quickly. She puts thought into what you like and don’t like for options, and in the end, creates a delicious menu that is customized for me. Finally, I met with Joe every week. He walks through the details of where you did well. He explains what’s going on with your body transformation, and he suggests ideas that will help you navigate the land mines for next week. Over the eight weeks, I got a chance to stumble through dining out, going to parties and even “having a bad day”. The difference with this diet plan is that you recover very quickly, and you get tools to steer away from the problem areas next time. When I saw my before and after pictures I couldn’t believe I let myself get to where I was when i started, but more importantly, I couldn’t believe where I ended up! I feel great. Prior to 2011, my weight wasn’t really an issue. I made smart food choices and exercised regularly. Then I had a full hysterectomy and it threw me into menopause immediately at the young age of 43! with the loss of my 21-year-old niece who was taken from us far too soon. She was a beautiful young girl who was going places in life but was now gone. Then six short weeks later, I lost my dad and then four months later, Covid-19 hit and I did not do well with isolation at all! I started unraveling, I started stress eating, I started eating just because I could, I started eating out more due to boredom, and I found myself ordering takeout and I justified it by saying I was helping to keep restaurants afloat 3-4 times per week. I stopped going to the gym 3-4 times per week and I just ate my sorrows away! Come July, I was short-winded and wasn’t feeling well at all so I decided that I needed to gain control back. It took me several weeks, but I finally decided that I needed help and needed to make some drastic changes. I took the first step by calling Transition and making an appointment. After my consult, I knew this was just what I needed to help me gain control again. I needed to take all the thinking out of it. I just needed someone to tell me what to do. Having the 1-on-1 weekly visits was just what I needed to keep myself accountable. Joe and Cheryl and the entire staff have been amazing and instrumental with my success story. I never once felt like I was being judged. They truly care and want you to succeed. I now have all the tools and an amazing home gym that I need to continue to succeed. I’m back to setting daily, weekly, and monthly goals for myself to be the best I can be going forward. I’m also back to tracking everything that I consume each and every day. I have struggled with my weight for 10 years, during active duty in the Marine Corps and since leaving the service. a slow jog/walk of about a mile in the mornings a few times a week and a short bike ride, to running a 5k almost every morning and pushing it up to 7k on a few days a week just for fun. This program is a mix of diet and exercise and unlike many other programs, this is designed to keep your energy level high so you can get out there.
Since originally writing this review I have also completed multiple half marathons, a 30k trail run, and much more. Currently training for my first Marathon. over a year since finishing the 6 month program I was on and I still haven’t gained a pound of it back.
They gave me hope when I didn’t have any left. My dad was one of their early adopters to the program and despite the age difference he is almost an exact copy of me. Seeing him pull through the same problem I was facing at his age made me finally stand up and take the first step. I was hesitant at first because with most diets, I never really lost any weight but rather just stayed the same weight. When I would give up then my weight just kept gaining and I was afraid of going ... to the doctor and weighing myself to be even more disappointed. But, when I met Joe for the first time from Transition Medical he encouraged and welcomed me instantly and I decided to finally go for it. Immediately I saw results of losing 16 lbs the first week and when I expected it to just taper off there, week after week I lost 3-6 lbs. After twelve weeks when I originally hoped to break 50 lbs lost, I have stepped back and found I broke that goal and more by reaching 60 lbs total. The meals Transition had to offer were all perfect because of the wide variety and the best thing was the Transition team was always working hard to bring in more and more for their clients to be able to have. “bite the bullet” and sign up. I believe doing the program together made it easier for us to stay on track. Not to mention competing to be the biggest loser for the week! We signed up for 24 weeks. I truly did not think I would last that long, but the Transition team proved me wrong.
I was nervous the first week as only drinking shakes and protein bars seemed impossible. I was surprised to find that I was not hungry. I thought if this is the hardest part, I can definitely do this!
I also opted to join a gym [which was included with the program]. This is something I thought I would never do. I HATED EXERCISING! Well, now I can say I don’t hate it anymore. I still don’t love it, but we are working on our relationship. 😊
As the weeks continued, the meals and snacks continued to keep my appetite satisfied. The variety of options kept things fresh. The weekly visits were helpful, especially if I had questions regarding eating “off plan” foods. I started the program in October, which meant I had to deal with holiday gatherings.
